  東方的古玉也好，羅馬的雕塑也好，都是人類社會遺產(chǎn)的組成部分，藝術的美為人們所共同欣賞，就這點來講，藝術是無國界的。

   今天，我們將視線轉向在意大利熱那亞（Genova)的一次中國明清古玉的展示，讓我們來看看哥倫布、但丁、達芬奇和米開朗基羅故鄉(xiāng)的人們，在上個世紀是如何欣賞來自東方古國精美玉雕的。

   意大利的以宗教為題材的古典油畫藝術；聞名于世并流傳甚廣的古羅馬建筑；無處不在的出自世界大師之手的大理石與青銅雕塑；等等這些都給這個亞平寧半島的國家?guī)砹藰O高的聲譽。

   同這些宏大的工程相比，東方的古代玉雕則突顯玲瓏剔透，精巧可愛。這些古玉：轉化于微妙之中，寓含于哲理之下，變幻于天道之內，收斂于方寸之間，取之于大地之腹，凝聚于圣典之德，柔化于世俗之欲，隨結于世代良緣。

在豪華巨大的古羅馬柱與跨梁前，人會顯得十分渺小，加之無處不在的古典藝術裝飾，令人折服與仰慕。

熱那亞的公園景色，這種風格的建筑與布局，常被近代的東方諸國所借用。西方有時會借東風，東方則更會接西風，偶有點綴尚可，但把整個古城改造成“現(xiàn)代化”的西方之都，則是荒誕之舉。

熱那亞位于意大利西北部，是意大利北部的港口城市，南隔地中海與法國科西嘉島遙望。

 

   熱那亞是個歷史很悠久的古城。早在古羅馬興建城之前，利古里亞（Liguria）人已經(jīng)住在當?shù)?，居住中心在熱那亞。在中世紀時期，熱那亞藉十字軍東征而逐漸繁榮起來，並建立一個獨立而強壯的海洋共和國。到19世紀初期，拿破侖的擴張使熱那亞共和國變成法蘭西帝國的一部份。1815年，根據(jù)維也納條約，除科西嘉島以外的熱那亞共和國領土都被割讓與薩丁尼亞王國，并稍后隨著薩丁尼亞王國統(tǒng)一意大利半島，成為意大利聯(lián)邦的一部份。
