當(dāng)代水彩的價值
——“視覺的維度-中外水彩名家邀請展”前言
在當(dāng)今世界,現(xiàn)代傳媒正在日益改變著人們的閱讀習(xí)慣,從傳統(tǒng)的紙媒到互聯(lián)網(wǎng)帶來的多媒體時代,我們的視覺系統(tǒng)已經(jīng)經(jīng)歷了前所未有的挑戰(zhàn)。圖像時代在帶給人們便利的同時,也在混淆著我們的視覺判斷力,這就意味著每天要過濾掉大量的垃圾信息后才能找到自己想要的那一部分。
水彩畫作為獨立繪畫形式的歷史并不長,短短的三百年相對于人類的歷史長河可能只是一個點。作為視覺藝術(shù)的一個小小分支,水彩畫并非游離于藝術(shù)史之外,而是“潤物細(xì)無聲”,在一定的范圍內(nèi)悄悄地改變著人們的視覺習(xí)慣,小到你幾乎沒有注意到,但它確實以自己獨特的方式真實地存在著。
美國作家房龍說: 藝術(shù)史的進(jìn)化有高潮有低谷,它不是簡單的螺旋式的上升,而更像是沙灘上的海浪一般,時而沖上海灘,時而又退回去,下一次可能又要沖向更遠(yuǎn)的海灘。
作為藝術(shù)永恒的主題,如何表達(dá)比表達(dá)什么更多地受到藝術(shù)家的重視,歷代大師們無不為此奮斗終生。印象派之后,視覺藝術(shù)的豐富性已經(jīng)被那些大師們以前所未有的多元化方式呈現(xiàn)出來。從塞尚要表達(dá)物像背后的某種東西,到馬蒂斯、魯奧、諾爾德、賈科梅蒂、弗洛伊德、巴爾蒂斯、杜馬斯等諸多現(xiàn)代派大師,水彩只是他們的一種手段,他們將這種表達(dá)推向極致。很好地詮釋了當(dāng)代架上繪畫的意義。
在30多年前,美國作家阿瑟·丹托已將宣告了藝術(shù)的終結(jié),藝術(shù)史不是一部技術(shù)進(jìn)化史,他站在歷史哲學(xué)層面感受到了現(xiàn)代科技給藝術(shù)帶來的沖擊,卻沒有看到藝術(shù)家對當(dāng)代科技的利用,沒有看到架上繪畫在21世紀(jì)的復(fù)蘇。水彩畫作為一種傳統(tǒng)媒材和表達(dá)方式,它帶給大眾的視覺體驗正在被世界上越來越多的畫家不斷改變和刷新。水彩畫在這個語境里變得活躍起來,它在帶給人們視覺體驗的同時,也開始建立起一種新的圖式語言,拓展了視覺的維度。微時代,對于水彩畫這種新變化,我們嘗試以一種新的視覺方式呈現(xiàn)給大眾,即覆蓋全球的微網(wǎng)絡(luò)方式。
此次展覽是由中國西部水彩網(wǎng)主辦,聯(lián)合近40家現(xiàn)代傳媒共同發(fā)布的新媒體網(wǎng)絡(luò)展,展覽將通過邀請和公開征稿的方式進(jìn)行,以“開放、創(chuàng)新、傳播”為策展目標(biāo),通過互聯(lián)網(wǎng)的無限傳播,助推當(dāng)代水彩藝術(shù)的發(fā)展?!耙曈X的維度-中外水彩名家邀請展”正是基于這樣一種思考來進(jìn)入人們的視野。
本次展覽共收到來自國內(nèi)外投稿郵件485件,其中有35份無效投稿(不符合投稿要求)遺憾提前出局,我們經(jīng)過認(rèn)真評選,考慮到網(wǎng)展的數(shù)量限制,最終選取160幅作品入選我們的這次展覽。
本次展覽是一種嘗試,考慮到國際性、學(xué)術(shù)性、多元性,在選取作品時盡可能照顧到方方面面,但結(jié)果難以避免“以偏概全”,有不少好作品無法錄入。尤其是海外部分,征稿時間恰逢西方傳統(tǒng)節(jié)日,投稿量非常有限,這都造成此次展覽的遺憾。這也是本次展覽一再延遲的主要原因。
